Adams County Human Services-Foster Care Program
- Government Organization
Adams County Human Services Foster Care Program seeks to find caring people who can provide a stable and caring home to children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Foster care provides children with a temporary time to heal until they can return home, be adopted, or live independently. Foster families play an essential role in helping parents stay emotionally connected to their child while they are in foster care and in supporting family reunification.
You may decide not to become a foster parent. We obviously hope you do because Adams County foster children need the special care only quality families can provide. However, you can also be of significant help in many ways such as, become a foster friend, raise public awareness, sponsor or co-sponsor an event, recruit volunteers, display information about foster care at your place of business. or distribute promotional materials in the community.
