- Funeral Services
Fairmount is a special place – Denver’s premiere cemetery since 1890, is also a full-service funeral home, Denver’s oldest and largest crematory, and an on-site monument shop – and beginning in 2016, an all-occasion event center named Quebec Place at Fairmount, aka ''The Q.'' Fairmount has four chapels on the grounds of Colorado's largest arboretum, which is a wildlife refuge, too.
Our trained professionals are here to be of service to everyone, while offering special sensitivity to the LGBTQ community. Fairmount offers seminars on end-of-life planning, showing both the family and financial reasons for pre-planning, which is especially relevant for the LGBTQ community in order to provide an extra layer of protection for each person’s specific wishes.
Fairmount is a community resource with a variety of activities available, including cemetery walking tours, virtual tours for indoor groups, grief resources for individuals/families/groups, special events over Memorial Day weekend, free family summer movie nights, a free Colorado Day concert, and an annual candle-lighting Christmas service open to the public. We also have numerous meeting, event, and reception spaces for rental in our Quebec Place center – for business and community meetings as well as all life's milestones, including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, bar- and bat- mitzvahs. If you can celebrate it, we can host it.
